The church in French Guiana has been worshipping on the back porch of the preachers house. They are experiencing a nice growth with a lot of potential. They have been asked to tear down the makeshift coverings and locate another place. Availble space is not that availble - so please pray for God to open the doors and the wisdom they will need to make the right decisions.

Two New Projects

BICM is making plans for two major projects.

One is to purchase land in French Guiana which will cast $100,000. This will provide land to build a much needed facility for one church and offer an environment to conduct youth programs along with a total church program.
The other project is a research center in Leyte Philippines. This will offer a facility to be used for advanced studies, small group studies that will help for more maturity in biblical matters. This will serve the area islands that will be more convenient for preachers, leaders and other church groups to attend.

The cost is approximately $60,000 for land, $35,000 to build and $30,000 to equip it with up-to-date equipment, material and language lab. This will house a well equipped library. This is strictly a research and study facility.

PLEASE PRAY FOR GOD TO USE HIS PEOPLE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN AND THAT IT IS HIS WILL.

BICM is planning to raise $250,000 for the purchase of land and construction of a research center in the Philippines. This amount will also help to purcase land for a new church in French Guiana andpurchase land in Guyana for a Christian school.

The convention in Cayenne went very well. Our focus was to introduce the local people to the teaching of a New Testament Church. We aslo wanted to instruct those attending that evangelism is done by various ministries using many talents and skills. We were able to complete the effort. We had a great team that really put their best effort into making that happen. The convention center was very accomodating and the staff of the center were very helpful and nice people. Three clowns were part of the team that taught local members how to use a clown ministry as an outreach for the church. The photo shows the clowns and those that studied with them. In the photo Dr. Wesley Stepp is conducting a class on the Lord's Supper.

Dwight Good is seen holding two little children. Dwight and his brother Dwayne are the Good Twins singing ministry. If you have not had the Twins for a concert you need to have them at your church. God blessed both the churches and the team from America in fellowship and good health. We praise God for the money that was available and the time for all eleven people to make the trip. We are making a dvd of the convention. If yoiu would like a copy we are asking $6 US for the cost of the dvd and mailing.

"FIRST JOURNEY' Christian Convention in French Guiana October 26-28. 11 people will visit to conduct workshops, preach and fellowship with the Christians in the country.

First visit to Lichtenstein is planned and we ask for prayer for these plans.

BICM along with four new churches in French Guiana will host the first Christian Convention. The theme is "FIRST JOURNEY". Eleven people will be sharing their talent in the three day meeting October 23-26. Several ministries will provide information about their ministry and College Press will be represented. BICM is asking you to pray for this convention.

Update - Prayer/Financial Need

For 33 years BICM ministry has been to train preachers and leaders of churches with the biblical foundation to teach others to teach others for generations (2 Tim. 2:2). Now we are praying for the next step in laying that foundation.

We need to raise $200,000 for:

Constructing and equipping a research center in Leyte Philippines.
Constructing an educational center in Guyana South America.
Purchasing land for a worship center in French Guiana.

- A successful convention in French Guiana. In October we will conduct the first Christian convention in the country.

- Funds for constructing a research center in the Philippines. This will house an adequate library for advance studies. Modern technology will be in place. There will be a kitchen and beds to host 16 people for sleeping and 25 people for training leaders and teachers.

- Planning to construct a facility for worship and education in French Guiana. Total amount needed is $230,000.

News:
After May BICM will have independent studies available for those interested in furthering their Bible knowledge. We ask you to pray for the direction BICM has taken for 2006 in the leading of God that will result in fruit for the Kingdom.

Please pray for the prepartions for the First Christian Convention in French Guiana in 2007.

Adelphia Update

Jackie McArthur

It is always a blessing to hear testimony of a godly person. Jackie McArthur (in picture with her husband Homer) went home to be with the Lord and left a wide trail of an example for what a Christian should be like. When she left your presence, she left something behind with you. At her funeral testimonies were heard from people in different times and places of her life. This spirit is seen in her children and grandchildren. Jackie was a volunteer secretary for BICM and her positive attitude and outlook toward situations was remarkable. It is hard to express all that she did and the energy she offered even up to her final days. One of her last wishes was not to buy flowers but to send the money to BICM. This was her pattern for thinking of others and the Lord's work in her final days before going home. This tribute is say thanks to her family for the contribution to this ministry. Speaking for many that has known Jackie for any period of time understands that she was concerned that preaching the Gospel is very important.
